Description
Most honey producers in Ontario receive a sizable quantity of pollen and nectar from wildflowers, which are all flowers found close to a bee colony. Therefore, “100% Ontario Raw Unpasteurized Wildflower Honey” was coined. The honey’s flavor and color fluctuate throughout the year according to what plants inside the bees’ colony zone produce what flower blooms throughout each season. The plants that are grown and consequently available for the bees to collect pollen from to generate wildflower honey will be impacted by general weather variations. Yet, if the colony zone is dominated by the same type of plants to collect pollen from, certain areas might not see a change in flavor or color. All of our honey comes from small, family-run companies in the surrounding region of our green belt.Â
